From enrolment to communication and daily routines, we’ve fine-tuned every detail to give you peace of mind. Our goal? To make parenting easier — so you can feel confident, supported, and more connected to your child’s learning journey every step of the way.

Enrolment Made Easy
Enrolling at Seedlings & Co. is simple and smooth. We offer clear processes and helpful support, including assistance with government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) applications. You’ll also receive a welcome pack and get connected to our parent communication app, OWNA, from day one.

Flexible and Transparent Payments
Fees can be paid weekly or fortnightly, and we offer flexible payment methods. Our attendance and holiday policies are clearly communicated upfront, so you always know what to expect — including support for public holidays, sick days, and planned absences.

Smooth Drop-Offs and Pick-Ups
Our electronic sign-in system keeps daily transitions quick and safe. You can nominate other trusted adults to handle drop-offs or pick-ups, and our team will always verify their identity on arrival.

Using the OWNA app, you’ll receive instant updates, photos, and daily notes — so you never miss a moment. It helps you understand your child’s growth, reinforce learning at home, and feel deeply connected to their experience.

FAQs
How much do I need to pay?
Your out-of-pocket fees depend on your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) percentage. You can use the online CCS calculator for an estimate, or once you confirm a place with us and have your CCS details, our friendly team can help calculate your estimated fees.
We charge a one-off $50 enrolment fee when your child starts care with us. And a $300 deposit is required once your child’s place is confirmed. This amount will be applied to your child’s gap fees once they start care. If you choose not to proceed after confirming the place, the deposit is non-refundable.
Each calendar year, your child is eligible for three weeks of holiday discount, charged at 50% of your usual fees. To access this, kindly let the office know at least one week in advance before the holiday.
Please note that fees are still charged for sick days and public holidays that fall on your child’s enrolled days.
Fees must be paid two weeks in advance. We offer direct debit as the easiest and most secure payment method. Once your payment details are added, just let us know your preferred frequency (weekly or fortnightly) and start date, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Who will be looking after my child?
Families often ask about our educators, and we’re proud to share that most of our team hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or are currently studying towards one.
We aim to provide consistency in care with regular room educators in each space. To support quality programming, lunch breaks, and staff leave, we also have a small pool of familiar relief educators from our own team. This helps ensure your child always sees known and trusted faces throughout the day.
What should I pack for my child each day?
- A change of clothes and a wet bag for any soiled clothes (please note: we no longer wash soiled clothes at the centre)
- A labelled water bottle
- Comfort items (if needed) (e.g. dummy, soft toy, blanket)
- A raincoat and gumboots during wet weather — this allows children to safely enjoy playing in the rain
We provide all nutritious meals and snacks, so there’s no need to bring food. For nursery children, if you’re providing breast milk or formula, please speak with your child’s room educators for guidance on how to prepare and label bottles appropriately.
What should I do if my child has allergies or medical needs?
Please inform us as early as possible. We’ll work with you to collect all the necessary documents and create a management plan to ensure your child’s safety and wellbeing.
Can I visit the centre before my child starts?
Absolutely! We welcome families to visit, meet our educators, and explore our learning environments. You can book a tour through our website at your convenience.
Once your child’s enrolment is confirmed, please contact our office to arrange play sessions. These orientation visits help your child become familiar with the environment and educators before their first official day.
What is your approach to outdoor play, Bush Kindy, and risky play?
Outdoor play is a vital part of our daily program, and we believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged with the natural world.
Our Bush Kindy program provides regular opportunities for children to explore natural environments beyond the centre. These sessions encourage creativity, problem-solving, resilience, and a deep connection with nature.
We also embrace risky play in a safe and supervised way. Activities like climbing, balancing, using real tools, or exploring uneven terrain help children develop physical confidence, risk awareness, and independence. Our educators carefully assess and support each child’s readiness while ensuring all safety measures are in place.
How can I be involved in my child’s learning journey?
We value strong partnerships with families and actively encourage your involvement in our program. Whether it’s sharing your culture, reading to the children, attending events, or contributing ideas, your participation enriches the learning environment and helps build a strong sense of community.
We have an open-door policy and welcome your feedback, questions, or visits at any time. You’re also encouraged to book an interview with your child’s educators if you’d like to discuss their progress, development, or anything else in more detail.
Your voice matters, and we look forward to working closely with you throughout your child’s journey with us.
How does the waitlist work?
You can add your child to our waitlist via our website at any time. Our main intake period is in January, and families are usually contacted between late October and early November.
Vacancies may also become available during the year. When this happens, we reach out to age-appropriate families on the waitlist based on their application date and preferences.
To keep your place on the waitlist, you’ll receive a six-monthly reminder email. Simply click the link to confirm your interest. If we don’t receive a response, your child will be automatically removed from the list.
